Generative AI is being adopted at a rapid pace by companies in the sector. A day after US software giant Adobe introduced its new generation of innovative generative AI models, popular graphic design platform Canva has now unveiled several generative AI tools.
The design platform looks set to compete with the likes of Google, Microsoft, and Adobe, which have unveiled their AI-powered tools. Canva has announced that it is introducing brand management products and AI-powered design tools focused on helping users streamline their content creation.
The Australian company said most of the new features were created for people with no professional experience in designing social media graphics, presentations and advertising materials. According to the company, the main goal is to leave more time for graphic designers to perform important tasks. The features announced by Canva will reportedly challenge Adobe’s dominance in the office space.
Additional tools for Visual Worksuite
Among the most recent additions, Canva has introduced Brand Center to its Visual Workshop. Brand Hub provides tools to help users stay consistent with their company’s visual identity. Users no longer need to rely on shared drive, messages and email designers. You can create brand kits with company-specific assets such as logos, colors, fonts, design guidelines, etc. Templates, and projects to one place.
Other features introduced by Kava include Magic Replace Tool, Magic Design, Magic Edit, Draw, etc. Its generative AI capabilities include text content creation, text-to-image, and more.
Magic design This feature will be useful for users who struggle to find a suitable design or template of their choice. With this feature, users only need to upload an image, select a style and watch it transform. Users can select customizable templates and edit them as per their choice. The feature also automatically selects fonts, images, graphics, and styles based on user input.
Create the magic of presentation Users simply need to provide their ideas with a few words and watch the tool intuitively create a professional-looking presentation slide deck. Once the first draft is rolled out, users can further edit and embellish their presentation.
Write magic: This feature was introduced last year with Magic Write for Canva Docs. Now, Canva has finally launched its feature for writing a variety of content, from speeches to SEO-friendly blog posts. On Visual Worksuite, users can access Magic Write. The feature is now available in 18 languages.
